Beauty and the weak — of stomach
This week’s man-purse poster boy is apparently concerned about his street cred.
“I consider myself more a nerd than a geek,” Josh Herman tells the Detroit Free Press. His distinction is interesting, but does little to explain the man purse he wears in his publicity photo from the WB’s “Beauty and the Geek,” in which Herman plays himself and competes for a shared $250,000 prize. But read further, and we get a better explanation for the floppy bag, which the 27-year-old screenwriter from Michigan reportedly carries around his adopted home of Los Angeles:
“Attractive women make me sick to my stomach, literally,” says Herman, who stocks Tums, Pepto Bismol, Gas-X, Immodium, his prescription anxiety medication and an air sickness bag in the murse . . .
